The frame was so hot that the bloody lens popped out when I picked them up! It’s in smithereens now…
Let’s see if I can make it a hat trick…
We got a taxi to the “Old Town” and had a wander passed the many shops and street vendors in this place.
We found a menu that looked interesting enough, but it was so basic and terrible it was a regret we went there. Should have gone to Trip Advisor!
The view was nice, though!
Walked through the market where ever second stall sold the same stuff. So, so busy! After about 45 minutes we found a pub playing live music so we took a seat.
The bar staff started taking the piss with my mocktails… this is the second one. The third will have an umbrella, piece of fruit, sparkler, firework, more straws, and a note to tell me I’m a wimp for not drinking alcohol!
So far, I love Ha Noi!

Context: Today marks the second third day of a stranger of Asian decent taking a picture of us without us being asked first. We are a sight to behold in this part of the world.
We are a spectacle
It is a nice feeling and an angry one. Are we really that photo-worthy? I don’t go round taking pictures of every race I see, like some sort of xenophile scrapbook. Only to parade the photos on a timeline that I have no control over.
Next time it happens, I’ll put on my best angry face. That’ll show ’em!

The Vietnamese Mona Lisa…
The man himself (in wax form)
Couldn’t read much of the stuff in the museum as it was all in Vietnamese. This museum is obviously geared towards the opinions of the Vietnamese and it is interesting to see it from their perspective.
Plus… air-con!
